Join Our Team as a Recruiting Specialist – Based in Lafayette, IN!
We're looking for a proactive and people-driven Recruiting Specialist to join our Lafayette, IN branch. In this role, you'll partner with hiring managers to develop effective recruitment strategies, source top talent, conduct interviews, and guide hiring decisions from start to finish. You'll also play a key role in onboarding and supporting the hiring process for Branch Operations staff across multiple locations. Strong communication and collaboration with the Recruiting Manager and hiring teams will be essential to your success.
*This role is expected to be on-site at our Lafayette, IN branch at least four days a week to support in-person interviews, team collaboration, and branch hiring needs.
Responsibilities
- Builds talent pipelines by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
- Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications. Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements and using a variety of reactive and proactive recruiting techniques.
- Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
- When applicable, arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules.
- Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications.
- Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and perks.
- Meets and/or exceeds Recruiting Department and overall Organizational goals.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office.
- Professional communication and organization skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Access to insured and reliable transportation.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communication, or a relevant field preferred. High School Diploma or GED required.
- One (1) to two (2) years of previous experience.
- Prior experience in recruiting or talent acquisition preferred.
