Job Summary:
The Corporate Finance Manager will support the Finance department’s activities in forecasting, budgeting, and in providing financial support to Help at Home’s senior management team. The role focuses on presenting key performance metrics and cost reports to facilitate executive-level decision-making regarding cost efficiency and related initiatives.
**This position will work from their home office with travel expectations to the Chicago, IL headquarters once or twice a quarter for on-site collaboration and department meetings.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Cost reporting: Collaborate with the Senior Director of FP&A to develop comprehensive financial reports that emphasize cost efficiency and expense management, including defining corporate benchmarks and utilizing financial models for performance assessment.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze cost trends, variances, and performance drivers to provide actionable recommendations, focusing on vendor and staffing cost control to enhance overall efficiency.
- Monthly Reviews: Collaborate with Corporate department leads to prepare materials for monthly operating reviews, presenting insights and variance analysis, while partnering with accounting during month-end close.
- Forecasting: Develop and refine periodic forecasts with department leads to assess the impact of current activities on long-term corporate goals and provide financial modeling for strategic initiatives.
- Budgeting: Support the annual budgeting process and develop financial budgeting and forecasting modules to streamline operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; MBA or CPA is preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Financial Planning and Analysis.
- Preferred experience in large multinational companies or Big 4 accounting firms; experience with Private Equity-backed companies is a plus.
- Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite, Power BI, or other financial accounting and Business Intelligence software.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- High proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel functions.
- Ability to create executive-level dashboards and presentations in PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Quality control - the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality and confidentiality.
- Adaptability - the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to travel 10% of time; may fluctuate based on business needs
- Majority (90%) of work is conducted indoors in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
